Peoria Notre Dame Gameball Run vs. Peoria Christian January 22 & 23, 2016
The Peoria Notre Dame Boys Basketball Team will be hosting Children’s Hospital of Illinois Gameball Run. The event raises awareness and funds for Children’s Hospital of Illinois and is a great example of teamwork in action!
Gameball Run consists of two events: The first is the actual GameBall Run when Peoria Notre Dame Boys Basketball team takes off from their high school dribbling a basketball. The destination?…The front doors of Children’s Hospital in Peoria! They run in honor of the infants and children cared for by its community of caregivers. Come, cheer on the boys along the run route!
The second of the two events will culminate at the Peoria Notre Dame vs. Peoria Christian Basketball Game on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Admission into the game is encouraged by patrons purchasing a Children’s Hospital of Illinois Gameball Run T-shirt. The shirts will be sold prior to and on game day with all proceeds going to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. A special program and check presentation will also take place that night!
Kids, looking for something fun to do this summer?? Opportunity is knocking at your door! CEFCU is encouraging YOU to become a Care Champ!
As a Care Champ, you’re making a difference for patients at Children’s Hospital by hosting your very own Lemon-Aid stand or Birthday Bash!
What does that mean?
Let’s ask 10-year-old Hannah Ragains, who did a radio interview with WJBC in Bloomington.
Hannah is a former Children’s Hospital patient, who chose to help kids like her! Last summer, she and her friends held a neighborhood Lemon-Aid stand. They gave it a baseball theme (Cubs vs. Cardinals) and even dressed up in sports gear! Together, they raised more than $330 for Children’s Hospital of Illinois!
Those dollars help Children’s Hospital provide activities, games, and books to patients.
Kids can also host a birthday bash! Instead of keeping their gifts, the birthday boy or girl can donate those presents to the hospital! Click here to read what Chase did at his party.
